Need to learn
how to solder a faulty wire on your home stereo system? Figure out how to
use a multimeter? Install a microcontroller in a robot? Electronics For
Dummies is the fun and easy guide to mastering electronic hobbyist and
repair tasks!
Electronics by definition
is the study and application of devices that control the flow of electrons
through semiconductor devices, gases, a vacuum, etc. covering a gambit of
things, but for this it will cover hobby, repair and educational
electronics. Some topics include soldering, circuits, micrometers,
microcontrollers, tools, electronic components and applying this knowledge
to repair tasks and hobbies.
Electronics For Dummies will cover:
· Very brief overview of the science of
electronics
· Required tools
· Learning all about the multimeter
· Other test tools of the trade (oscilloscope,
logic probe, etc.)
· Common electronic components (e.g. resistors,
capacitors, transistors)
· Making circuits using breadboards and printed
circuit boards
· Microcontrollers (implementation and
programming)
· Practical circuits to try (10 minutes or
less)
The book will conclude with a
section of fun projects that can be done in 10 minutes or less each.
