Animated Schematics

Instantly see current direction, voltage, and device power dissipation in different colors! Instantly see potential hot spots in your circuit and know when it happens!

The animation feature lets you to see the current, current direction, voltage, and power used by circuit components directly in the schematic during the simulation. It also lets you control the simulation speed so that you can see in slow motion what exactly is happenning with your circuit.

Current Animation and Scale Range

The current is animated to show both magnitude and direction of the current in each wire using different sized arrows pointing in the direction of the current flow. The min scale value sets the threshold. Any values below the min value are not shown in the schematic (taken as zero). When the current is at or above the max value, the arrow will be the largest size. All values in between are automatically scaled between the min and max values for the size of the arrow. The actual value for the current is also displayed close to the arrow as a floating point number.

Voltage Animation and Scale Range

The voltage is animated as different colors for each wire in the schematic. BLUE indicates a negative voltage (with respect to ground) and a RED wire indicates a positive voltage on any particular wire. The min scale value sets the threshold. Any voltage below that value is shown as a black wire. Values in between are automatically scaled and a color between BLUE and RED indicates the value. The redder the wire means more positive, bluer means more negative.

Power Animation and Scale

Each device is drawn to show it's power dissipation. Values lower then the min value the device is drawn black. Values at or above the max value, the device is drawn as RED. Values in between are scaled so that the more red the more power it is dissipating.
