PLAN10007 - MOTOR SPEED CONTROL

This project can be used to control the speed of hand drills or other small motors with brushes.  It also makes an excellent lamp dimmer.  Since it's output is full-wave, it puts out AC voltage from 0% to 98% of the line voltage This half-wave motor speed control is perfect for slowing down drills and similar type motors. Can also be used as AC light dimmer. Will handle up to 150 watts.

This project can be used to regulate the speed of a drill, the heat of an appliance, soldering iron temperature, light dimmer etc... This variable motor control circuit uses two SCR semi-conductors to control the flow of power to the device plugged into it.
