KHR-1 Humanoid Robot Kit
The ECO-ROBOT is one of Japan's most well known and highly respected robots.
It has debuted countless times on Japanese, Korean, and European television
networks, making it one of the most highly publicized robots ever. It is
made through a joint cooperation with Japan's iXs Research, Inc. and Kondo
Robotics.
The ECO-ROBOT is made with the highest quality digital servos and
electrical components, and requires little to no post configuration, other than
user defined programming. Designed as a high performance humanoid robot,
it is capable of emulating human like movements such as walking, climbing
stairs, back flips and can even pull itself up from a lying, or seated position.
The KHR-1 is the robot of choice for the Robo-One robot martial arts contest
throughout Greater Asia.
The robot comes unassembled as a kit, making it ideal for classroom education
and user defined configuration. The attached programming software comes
complete with a set of predefined commands that can be used as is, or compiled
with other commands to create the ultimate robot character.

History:
The KHR-1 was Kondo Kagaku Robotics' response to the increasing demand for
hobby robots at the turn of the millennium. Within the past year, this
robot captured the hearts and minds of people around the world. In 2004
the KHR-1 won in the Robo-One Jr. Category (lightweight robots) in the
Robolympics.

Servos can communicate via ICS Interface to adjust the following: Pulse
Stretch (stiffness of servo), Speed (maximum speed of servo), Punch (initial
acceleration response), Dead band (neutral zone dead band), Damping (to
control overshoot & settling time), Protection timer (time to disable servo
after current or position error), Range limits (to reduce maximum travel of
servo), Servo reversing.
- Settings are stored locally in servo
- (2) RCB-1 Control Boards (45mm x 35mm x 16mm) - Each board can handle 12
servos. Communicates with PC via RS-232
- (1) Communication cable to 9 pin D-SUB (RS-232 Serial)
- (1) NiCad 6V MA-Hr battery with charger
- CD-ROM with manuals, software and sample movement files
