Will these recorders log both sides of the telephone conversation?
Yes, you must notify the other party that they are being recorded.
Will the phone recorders work if they are not connected to the line jack that is
being used?
Yes, as long as it is the same number, you can connect the phone to any
extension jack and it will automatically start and stop recording when the telephone
is in use from another location.
Will the phone recorder work with a cordless phone?
Yes, it will work the same with a cordless as a regular corded telephone.
Are the phone recorders hard to connect and use?
No, it comes with all
adapters and modular style connectors. It also includes a complete
instruction manual.
Will it work on a company telephone system with multiple phone
lines?
We only recommend this unit for single line residential use. It will work
with some PBX systems, however we do not have any list or verification of which
systems work and do not work. Both units do include adapters to connect
directly to the handset which allows business conversations to be recorded,
but the direct line activation may not work with your PBX system.
Do these recorders work with a phone line set up through DSL?
Yes, most DSL installations are performed on separate dedicated DSL phone lines so they should not interfere with the recorders. But in a case that it is sharing the same phone line,
we recommend a strong regulated filter other than the one the phone company
supplies. In most cases the phone company will send a cheap line filter which will not filter out all of the DSL frequency which could throw off the recorders. A strong filter will block all DSL frequencies from coming through the phone line.
